Hi, and thanks a lot for your time! First of all, you can introduce your band to the readers over here.
Hi, and thanks to you too! Edenyzed was born in summer 2004 as an experimental project wich combinates harsch ebm elements with symphonic orchestrations; in fact, our first single, Dancing Insanity, reflects this attitude. Our debut album, Vanity moves the World , instead repesents a stylistic maturation wich took us to integrate also metal sounds that made our music more aggressive, theatral and complete. Now were composing new songs wich basically persist in this direction, but evolving even more the electronic component and apporting some styles change in the vocal approach.

Who made up the bandname, and why have you picked it?
Phemtis: Bands name was my idea. It is a distortion of the terms Eden & Denied mixed in one word. It simbolically reflects tha fall from eden, but without a pessimistic connotation, on the contrary it exposes an inversion of values wich finds man in his natural condition of the impossibility to reach eternal pleasures, but making him realize that pleasures only sussist in function of pain. The song that lirically better represents this condition is Eden of Pain: this is our eden and pain is ineradicable, and without it all kind of good emotions and pleasure are inconceivable...

What are your main influences? And who are your personal heroes?
Noras: One of the greatest influences in my musical forming comes from classic music. Personally I adore Beethovens art over all. For the rest I have a background wich embraces many kinds of metal, from classic to black, and a vey strong passion for electronic music. Bands like The Kovenant, Rammstein and EBM scene in general had an important weight in Edenyzeds musical attitude. Phemtis: My initial musical passion regards the black metal scene, especially symphonic one, bands like Anorexia Nervosa and Dimmu Borgir had an important influence in my vocal style. Afterwards my muscical preferences evolved to the electronic scene wich still contains elements of extreme music as screaming vocals and obscure atmospheres.

You just released your debut album, which got excellent ratings by us and also various other zines. But, what do you think of it yourself? And had you expected these good critics?
We worked with passion and intenisty on this album, even if it has been composed in a small time. So we can say that we are conscious about our potential. Surely we have to work strong to better some aspects of our sound but were convinced our album is a valid product. About the good reviews we only can thanks to all who appreciated us like you! We hope to do always better!

And how did the audience react on it? Sold many albums already?
The reaction of people has been simply great! We received a lot of compliments from all who listened to our songs, it is really an honour for us! Unfortunately we still not have a contract, this means that every expense to print copies of our album and to distribute it is a little hard for us, especially because were just two. However were satisfied for the copies weve sold since now.

Since you are a 2 mans band, I must really ask this: how do you do your live shows? And what can a stranger expect when he visit a live gig of Edenyzed?
Phemtis: Edenyzeds live line up is composed by 4 elements, me at the vocals, Noras at synth and drum machine and two guys respectively at the guitar and bass. We bet a lot in live dimension and were preparing to offer really intense shows both for the visual aspect and the powerful sound...see you on stage!

I already interviewed many Italian bands, and most of them confirmed that the local scene in Italy is terrible. What are your experiences with the local scene?
Noras: Edenyzed walk their own way. Were conscious that its very hard to promote our music here in Italy, but the real problem is that italian bands often crash between them instead of collaborate together to make the italian scene grown. However there are very good realities that wait for be exploited.

What can we expect of you guys in the future?
At the moment were working with an excellent promotion agency, Alkemist Fanatix; so we hope to obtain a contract soon to better promote Edenyzed. For the rest, a very intense live activity all around Italy and Europe.

Well, this is the end of the interview. I would like to thank you again for your time, and as usual: the final words are yours.
Thanks to you for your support and for giving us this space on IndustrializedMetal.tk, thanks to all the people who support us, hoping to give real emotions to our listeners...ENJOY THE DIONISIAC PASSION!!!
