Hi, and thanks for this opportunity! First, you can introduce your band to the readers.
Hi, I’m the first who have to thank you for the opportunity! I hope I can answer as best! Fucktory-X is a project born by our six sick heads in late 2003,we start to play together when Bookie and Joker called us all and showed some new ideas. Something of new, insane, violence... something to make people talk about us in a good and a bad way at the same time. In fact the cruel intention to play black, death, with the widespread use of synth, computers and electronics parts became reality in a short time, and in January 2005 we released our first EP called Life Feeds On Blood.

Now about the name: it has a cool sounding if you ask me. Who made up the name, and why did you choose it?
Yes I agree with you about the cool sounding and many people told us! The name was created by Bookie, it’s the union of some words: factory for the use of machines in our music; fuck for the heavy sound and the anger we raise on our songs; and the x add the “unknown element”. You can see it as a sort of equilibrium between human (drum and guitars) and anti-human (synth and processors).

The music you make is very hard to describe within just a few words. How would you describe it yourself?
On our first EP we called our kind of music simply “false metal” because we don’t think to be a typical metal band, and not only about music. Next we chose for “advanced hybrid metal” and finally “contaminated extreme metal”. Our music is, as you think, very hard to describe; we are not a black metal band because we don’t talk about Satan and evil, at the same time we are not a typical death metal band, dismemberment, blood, obituaries are only a part of our song writing, and we are not surely an industrial or EBM band! I think a classification of music needs only for labels; we let people think with their own heads as well.

What are your main influences?
Everyone of us has different influences and I think this is the main reason of our sound. For example, Bookie is influenced by bands like Devil Driver, Chimaira and so on. Joker more by the new albums of Hypocrisy, Malevolent Creation, and Behemoth; D’Annunzio by the modern gothic bands, Jesus listens a lot to brutal death from Mortician to Cadaveric Crematorium; Allehelgens (our new sinth player) listen old school black metal like Darkthrone; and about me I listen from Nordvargr, MZ412 to Malmsteen!

Currently, you have one release out. What do you think of this debut EP yourselves?
We think our release was recorded as our best and the artwork too, but we were at our first experience and if I could come back I will change the final mastering. I think guitars are too compressed and you can’t hear them clearly. At the same time I heard other bands first release and as everyone can hear our product is better than many of them!

And what were the responses of press and public to your EP so far?
The responses were very fuckin’good!! We received a lot of good responses by web zine and metal magazine too, but first of all nobody talks about us in a bad way! And this gives us a great power to run in our way! Our web site (www.fucktory-x.com) has not the English version yet, but in the future we will add it; so our fans abroad can read reviews and responses about our activities!

According to your website, you've only recently started to play live shows. How was the experience of your first gig? And what responses did you recieve so far?
About live performances, the first we had was in our city, and learned us how to improve our shows in the future... people liked it much because is quite strange to see and hear this genre live! We are not what people expect, we use a neo-cyber face painting and we are “sheep dressed wolves” hahaha! At the moment we have no groupies yet but we hope in the future!!!

I have already interviewed many Italian bands, and they all agreed that the Italian industrial scene is terrible when it comes to supporting local acts. What are your experiences with it?
I agree too their are right, local acts are terrible because people often comes at live shows to give a judgement in stead of having a nice night. Is hard to agree with metal guys and industrial ones at the same time! But this is our way and we really don’t care what people says about the music.

What can we expect of Fucktory-X in the (near) future?
In September we will record our first full length album at Remasters Studios (White Skull), and we hope to release it early 2007 (maybe under a label…). We want to play out of Italy to spawn our violence, where people are more open mind and will like our music.

The interview ends here, thanks again for your time. If you have something to add you can do it here.
Ok, thanks for the interview. I hope people will find our music intresting and I have an advice for the readers: listen to the new underground bands before judging them, maybe you hear something unexpected and very good, something you have never heard before! See you around the world!
