Hi, and thanks for your time! First of all, please introduce your band to the readers.
Mephisto (vocals): The band was created in 2002 .The idea was to create the cold atmosphere of the distant future through a music that fully expresses us.

How did things get started for Nyne?
Mephisto: It all started when we first used music software as a tool to take our music one step further.

You describe your music as 'futuristic black metal'. What exactly do you mean with that?
Mephisto: We would describe our music as "futuristic industrial black metal", if it was necessary to use only 3-4 words to do so. Anyway, we use the word "futuristic", because our main purpose is to produce music that gets you deep into a hostile, distant future.

What are your main influences?
Mephisto: We are influenced not only by extreme metal (black ,death) and EBM – industrial ,but also from movie soundtracks .We are inspired mainly by sci-fi and horror movies and of course, our imagination .

Your selftitled promo recieved excellent ratings by IndustrializedMetal.tk. But, what do you think of it yourself?
Mephisto: First of all, we thank you for your kind words on our work. When you create something, you can’t really be fair with it! I guess that the listeners are the only ones that can judge you and that have a clearer view as to how good our music is. Still, we believe that this demo is a good first step for us. Of course, we will try to put new ideas in our music and evolution should follow each of our releases.

And how were the other reactions of press and public? Did you expect these replies?
Mephisto: Most of the feedback we got was good. People is able to understand that what we are trying to do is to create something new that represents us and not just put some influences together or copy other bands. Well, we expected that some people would be interested in our music, and that others would find it obscure and not of their taste. Still, to receive so many good responses, while you create something new, makes us feel very optimistic.

You already played various live shows in Greece, including one with Mayhem. How was it to play with a band like Mayhem? Did they give you any comments about your live show and music?
Mephisto: Well, the show with Mayhem was the most populated we’ve been so far, so it was a bit strange to play in front of lots of people, but as the show moved on we enjoyed it and we got some good responses after it. So, it was a great experience for us. Mayhem were very friendly and they told us that they liked our music and the show too.

Talking about live shows, your music seems excellent for a really powerful performance. What can a stranger expect when he visits a live show of Nyne?
Mephisto: Surely, he expects a powerful performance, the proper sound, the concept lighting and attitude. Nothing less than what someone who likes our music would expect.

I am not known with that much bands from Greece, and the ones I know are mostly regular black metal and grindcore. How is the industrial scene developed in Greece? And what do Greek people think of industrial metal?
Mephisto: In general, the industrial scene in Greece is constantly developing .We have some really good bands, such as "Siva Six" and "Iambia". Concerning industrial metal now, things seem to be a bit worse .The fact is that Greece is a small market-trap and it’s very hard for a band to be known abroad, when your own country barely supports you .

What can we expect of Nyne in the near future?
Mephisto: You should expect us to do many live performances/gigs, not only in Greece but also abroad if we are offered to. In addition, we are looking forward to signing with a label in the near future.

Thanks for your time answering my questions. As always on IndustrializedMetal.tk, the final words are reserved for the band.
Mephisto: Thank you for the interview! For news about the band check out www.myspace.com/nyneband and www.nyne.org,thanks to everyone that enjoys and supports our music.
