First of all, please introduce your band to the readers.
Ssagittar (vocals): Hello from Spain! We are Symawrath, we are glad with the opportunity given by industrialized metal to come to the public of this webzine with the interview!

Why have you choose this bandname?
Ssagittar: It reflects all our personalities, which is needed to be angry with the whole human society, religion, politics, mass media and everything what does not seem to be ethical inside a few parameters of what is the respect fore the person, and the knowledge of the mind. This is our way of shouting it to the world.

How would you describe your music and why?
Ssagittar: I think that it could not really be described... it is only the struggle and the search for a recognition in the scene and the specializing articles and certainly it is the need of expression of five individuals who believe in what they are doing, and fight against all forces to be able to do that. Life is something respectable and recognized, which has always been criticized to the bands in the south of Europe, and I do not understand the motive since some bands are better than others, but they they all deserve respect for their work.

What are your main influences?
Ssagittar: They are very wide and different. Musically we have very different tastes, but we always have to make sure that it fits in the sound of Symawrath, we like to be in touch with reality to extract our conclusions. We don't really mind if we make metal, electro, industrial, pop, rock or whatsoever, the important thing is that it is a good song in the end.

In the beginning you made symphonic black metal. Why did you decide to add those dark electro and industrial influences in your music?
Ssagittar: Sincerely,we were tired of this style, and we always have liked bands like Ministry, Front Line Assembly, etc . So we decided to 'change', and now we still have our past with us, but we prefer to look forward.

Your first release including those influences was "Chemical Psychodrama". How did your fans reply on that 'different' album?
Ssagittar: It had a bit of everything logically, but there were more positive reactions than negative, But sincerely it was all the same for us, it was our decision to change our style and it was not important for us what others were thinking. As I said before, we felt it was better this way.

Currently you also have a newer album out. Could you please tell us more about it?
Ssagittar: Our album is called "Hellnesis", but we still have to edit some things on it. It is a very varied disc where the electronics and the metal come in a very solid balance. The structures are taken care of in all details, let's hope that the fans of Symawrath like it! At the moment the concerts have been positively recieved by the people and they accept the new songs very well. Next, I want to present to you all our new line-up: the new ones are Alex (bass and progamming), and Patron (drums), and they fit our band extremely well!

How is the industrial scene in Spain?
Ssagittar: Day after day there are newer and better bands, but Spain doesn't seem like the perfect place for them. There is no support for this music, and the repercussion is always the same, lacking in everything.

What are your other passions next to music?
Ssagittar: It is a bit of everything! I love computergames, and I am rather interested in everything what has to do something with the second world war. From here, I want to promote my another band together with Symawrath's keyboard player. The name is Terrolokaust, and we do some electro, ebm and industrial all in one. Our first concept album is called "Gas", which betrays already the whole concept of it. All this is based on the atrocities committed in the course of the second world war: genocide, holocaust, industrial slaughters, anti-Semitism, etc. It is an offensive against fascism. If you are curious about this project, I invite you all to visit our MySpace page: www.myspace.com/terrolokaust.

If there was one thing in the world you could change, what would it be?
Ssagittar: I think it is already too late for that. Nothing can change this world, established by a plutocratic system in which the prominent figures give the orders. One of them is the Vatican in Rome and all their hypocrisy, but there is a very big list... this already is the end of the fucking world.

What are the future plans for your band?
Ssagittar: First of all, we want to edit the "Hellnesis" album. Afterwards, we hope to be able to present it in the pioneer countries for the industrial music, to be able to transmit our message and our music to the whole planet. I believe that it is a good album already, and that alone needs to have it's recognition.

The interview ends here, thanks a lot for your time. If you have some final words to add, please do it here.
Ssagittar: Thank you very much Gerardo for the support! From here I want to report to all the people that Symawrath also has a myspace page: www.myspace.com/symawrath, feel free to check it out! Thanks to all the people who are willing to give us a listen on advance!
