First of all, what is Headphone Killazz and why was it formed?
HK is a cybermetal-project, formed in 2006. Our sampler Sergey "Danoizz" and our ex-manager (and ex-vocal) Denis were the creators of the project. The band has composed the concert program in a short time, and made a number of successful concerts in a many cities throughout Russia. Now the band has released two LPs: "We are grown, not born"-2008 and "Revaccination"-2010, that came out on Chaotic Noiz - an extreme part of Souyz Music, one of the biggest major labels in Russia. Also the band released an internet-single, named "Virt". At this moment Headphone Killazz are: Dolotov Artem - guitar, Artem "Sanscr1t" Shpagin - bass, Anton "Trihydroxide (OH)3" Adamov - vocal, Sergey "Danoizz" Kozlov - programming/sampling/back-vocal and Palshkov Pavel - sound engineer/technician.

Why did you pick this bandname for your band?
The main concept belongs to Sergey "Danoizz", who made it by chance; for a long time we were asked the question "what is the meaning of this title - are we killers of the headphones or are we headphones that kills?" We still can't answer it :)

How would you describe your music?
At this moment the band plays music that could be described as breakcore/industrial with explicit metallic guitar and vocal parts. Briefly - cybermetal.

What are your main influences?
Our tastes are different, because we are different :) - Danoizz was influenced by Prodigy and Drumcorps, our vocalist by Slipknot and Meshuggah, our guitar loves old school metal bands, and Sanscr1t is a hardcore fan.

Your debut album 'We Are Grown Not Born' got a good review on our webpage. What do you think of the album yourself?
The first album was succesful enough, and it is depicting the band at that moment precisely. Now we don't think that everything in it was very cool, but it is the order of the day for all musicians :) At this moment we prefer our new songs and do not perform the most of the first album.

What is in your opinion the best track on the release and why?
Well, we think the most popular and the best tracks are "Sky" and "Cybernetics". Why? Peoples like it more than the others! But it is very hard to say uniquely, because every track is a result of our work and has a part of our inner world.

Lyrically you have chosen to pick the Russian language in stead of the English one. What made you decide to do the lyrics in your native language?
The answer is very simple. We are Russians, our language is Russian, so it just easier to express our thoughts in our native language, than in any foreign one. But forestalling the event, we can say that we will release an English internet-single around March 2010, we think - the main goal is to promote our music into other countries.

On your MySpace we also find a video for the track 'Cybernetics'. It's quite a wicked video if you ask me, why did you decide to pick this track to shoot a video for? Did you create it by yourself?
This video was shot at the presentation of our first album. Why we picked this track? We cannot answer this question, we didn't even think about it :) One day Danoizz asked us: "Hey, why don't we shoot a video for Cybernetics?", and others answered :"Sure, why not?" :) We didn't make it by ourselves, our good friend shot our perfomance and edited the video :) By the way, our second video for the track "Virt" from our new album is coming soon!

What are your views on the industrial metal scene in Russia?
Candidly, we are not the adepts of the Russian industrial scene, so we don't know what is going on there, we consider ourselves a metal band and we are always playing with death-metal or modern-metal bands.

What are next to music your other passions in life?
Well, we all have different hobbies, from football to computer games, nothing extraordinary for young people of our age :)

What can we expect of Headphone Killazz in the near future?
We told about almost all upcoming events earler in the interview, so we just can repeat it - we have released our second album, hope you will like it. We will release an English internet-single and a new video in the very near future, and we going to do a lot of concerts, of course. We want to start recording our third album by the end of this year, so now we are creating new tracks for it.
