In Blue Velvet we find a union between electronic and
industrial music that has been in circulation since
1999. The members of the group together from the fallout
of other experiences and at a turning point in their
lives, previously obscured by forms of music that were
contrasting buy at the same time, monotonously similar.
The members of Blue Velvet work together in fusion as if
they were a single individual, living and creating with
one mind. All this has brought about the creation of
their MaxiSingle. There are two versions of this but
both contain acustic experiments which are stimulating
for the intellect. To create these sonic perversion the
group retired from the scene for four months into the
BVB Recording Studio (which they own) making the most of
the night and sleeplessness to research sounds and study
psychoacustic frequencies. All this unites them through
a thin, clammy mental compromise which keeps on
scratching at their reality. After the first single was
produced 43/xxx, it was given as a present to whoever
the group met. This provoked positive reactions which
convinced the Blue Velvet to produce the second single
xxxxxx/0003, which was recreated on the bones of the
first but with some substantial changes to the acustic
perversions which brough the band to the limit of their
conciousness, but the single was dripping with poisonous
sensations, enveloped in a whisper centred on the being.
This second single received a positive reaction like the
first but the reactions were much more marked and
defined. Both versions had a completely black, varnish
cover inspired by what we see when our eyes are shut,
and all of this is the fruit of the imagination,
provoked by senses and by memories. The creation of
their new album brings together all the idealism and
impalpable violence sonorously manipulated. Their past
experiences assure the band a very productive future
both from a professional and from an idealistic point af
view. What we seek is the compromise established between
the parts which keeps a bright vinyl shine filled with
controlled rumbling noise which tears at the sound.
