There is no concrete reason for this band not to exist.
Music is a form of expression that just attracts me. Its
not about some kind of great talent or abilities. I
would rather call it a passion, or a will to experience
some kind of abstract emotions. In the past I used to
play more complex stuff a little virtuosity - so such a
proposition like Bremenn may surprise some people.
Nevertheless this is the way I feel music for some time.
Over a dozen of simple guitar compositions with just a
few solo parts. Rather monotonous riffs and humming
synths, than cascades of sounds played with the speed of
light. The most important is the energy that the rock
music brings, its rhythm and colour. There is no way of
discovering a new galaxy with these sounds, but Im
trying to make them reflect my musical personality. I
emphasize the word musical, because my private
personality is to remain a secret. Im neither going to
relate the events from my nursery school here, nor to
describe what my favourite dish is and other trash.
Maybe thats why Bremenn is an attempt of combining music
the theatre, where five men are actors with instruments
in their hands. We began with a single named Historia
Ostatnia written specially for the movie called Numer
directed by Andrzej Mathiasz. The song is rather not an
optimistic one, but it fits the contents of the movie
and reflects certain emotional states of my mind. The
lyrics were written by a poetess Marta Grzesinska, Ive
only changed a few words maybe to make it sing easier. I
have also written the notes. The song was recorded at
home and in the Regional Centre TVP in Lublin with a
great help of Slawomir Gladyszewski.
