Drionide erupted in March 2001 from the cybrionic realms of Amsterdam, one third man, one third machine and one third reptile, Drionide is the brainchild of Malochia's dark voiced leading man, Facehugger's power-chorded mediasorceress and Mantram, lord of Virtuosity from the Mystical Darkness of Venezuela. As fate had it they "accidentally" met at one of Amsterdams sacred places: "Derick LeBlanc" a store of Magical Instruments. Their stream of subconsiousness led to the predestined discovery of the low-chorded wizard of Deep Regions: The Haze. Lexander the Great six-string accelerator, descendant of the Cosmic Land Tribes completed the circle. Under the spell then cast came into being: enchanting gothic melodies and pounding metal guitars intertwined with rhythms either to dance to or to be rattled by their industrial powers. Along with theatrical visions of fire and demise, Drionide had been conceived. The inaugural performance 010601 at Eindhoven's Effenaar was just the beginning...
