Created in June 1997, FURIA currently composed of Damien (vocals), Mick (guitar and vocals), Stef (lead guitar), Fred (bass) and Julien (drums) , evolve in a melodic and modern Heavy/Thrash-Death Metal where sharp riffs, shingling rhythmic and symphonic or mechanic keyboards illustrate all along the compositions the various legends populating the conceptual world of the band from Mâcon. From May 1998 to Mars 1999, FURIA have recorded two self-productions and started a tour of about thirty dates through France. Thereafter, the band recorded a mini-CD "the Garden of Eden" containing 4 titles, which will were re-recorded for the album "In Search of the Past" which was released in September 2001 at ADIPOCERE records. After one year spent on various tours in France and countries bordering, FURIA released in April 2003 its second album "a lake of tears and blood" produced one more time by ADIPOCERE records, mastered at the FINNVOX studios. A majority of orchestrations were made with real instruments... The voice of Adeline from the band AKIN can also be hear on this record... From that period on, the band has worked hardily on the visual installation of their concept on stage and currently preparing the continuation of FURIA's adventure... "...The french guys of Furia impress by their strong personality and impose themselves right now like serious contenders on the international scene. ..Setting up a true lyric concept, this musical epic can be listen such a BO... Doubt, sadness, hope, all these feelings hustle themselves and turn upside down in this saga guided by heavy riffs terribly incisive and effective, intelligently integrated majestic keyboards and singings in turn shouted and clear. In october 2003, FURIA released a DVD box called "La Source Noire" containing a full show on DVD shot by 6 cameras, a remasterised version of the 1st album and a novel dealing with the lyrical concept of the band. The band toured again all over France and also played live in some gigs in Switzerland and Belgium from october 2003 to may 2004. Each shows is like a victory for FURIA with each time dozens of new fanatic fans... The 2nd part of 2004 was totally dedicated to the composition of the 3rd album of the band. The female session vilonist Eulalie, decided to leave the band for professional obligations. In june 2005, FURIA is definitively back ! First of all, with an appearance on the Main Stage of the Fury Fest (Slayer, Motorhead, Dimmu Borgir, Anthrax...) for a tremendous show ! Secondly with the release of a brand new mini-Cd entitled Rebirth containing 4 new songs and 4 videos. Two songs will appear on the next album (tracks 1 & 4) and the 2 other songs will remain inedited. More Thrash, more direct more modern, the Rebirth Mcd introduces the new sound of the band ! During the autumn, FURIA signed a deal with Season Of Mist who released the 3rd album titled "Kheros" the 21th january of 2006. The release is shortly followed by more than 20 concerts as headliner or during festival. In july, Mehdi and Guillaume decided to leave the band. Mehdi won't be replaced and Furia welcomed Fred as session bass-player in september. January 2007, new year & new line-up changes. Stef left the band and it's Sébastien, our ex guitarist and founder of the band, who is back "in the buisness" with FURIA ! FURIA decided also to stop the collaboration with Fred and to stay as a 4 pieces-members band (using sessions bassists only for concerts ! ). The band is composing songs for the 4th album and will continue to strike Metal audiences during most of 2007.
