Could you provide us some basic info about your band?
Our band, Attractor, was formed in 2007 AD, in a place called Romania, and our music style could be classified as "industrial-gothic metal". Our complete story can be read on our myspace page.
Why did you exactly pick this track to appear on the compilation?
Because it's the most passional, darkened, surealistic, twisted love song we ever made. It's apocalyptic sounds can penetrate the coldest hearts, and its theatral lyrics can touch the deepest minds.
How important is and has the internet been for your band?
It helped us a lot, we gained popularity in the gothic-industrial underground and not only. Our myspace page had a very positive feedback, and we're going to use the internet to promote the soon-to-come album.
What are the views upon the local music industry in your native country?
What music industry? Here, everything is static, people only have bands because that makes them cool, they lack imagination, they immitate others, and instead of helping each other, there's a big "pride-fight". We may not want to belong to this...
And what about the rest of the world?
We see that the interest for this music style is growing, a lof ot new good bands appear on myspace, they just need a bigger promotion outside the internet, since the scene is developping. We're in the 21st century, everything gets more and more electronized, so is the music.
How do you see the role of the record labels in the music industry in about 10 years?
The role of record labels is becoming less important since the bands produce their own material. Though, they can still help for promotion.
What are your opinions on the Industrialized Metal Webzine and Death To Music Productions?
I think it's a good job what you guys are doing, the thing just needs to grow bigger, more gigs and festivals need to be organized. I have listened to a lot of your bands and many of them sound really good, yet they don't get to be well known. This needs to be worked out.
Do you have some final words to add?
Fill your souls with love and light, for its the only chance for the human race to survive. Think positive, see darkness as a beautiful place to travel, but don't stay there. Let live, make the Earth cleaner, and enjoy at intense passion the sado-masochistic act called "LIFE".
