Could you provide us some basic info about your band?
Cynergy 67 is an electronic / rock band based in Wisconsin USA. Formed in 2003 to design a new style fusing multiple genres as well as an impressive live experience.
Why did you exactly pick this track to appear on the compilation?
Escape the Violence is a song basically saying you dont have to conform to everything you are told too. Life is treated as something worthless nowadays and it needs to stop.
How important is and has the internet been for your band?
The internet has become a very valuable tool for promotions and expanding a fan base to places you may never have reached otherwise. It has also helped bands like Cynergy who want to be independant do so without the trappings of a major label.
What are the views upon the local music industry in your native country?
I'm sure its the same anywhere. positives and negatives. It really depends on how hard you work. There is an audience for anything if you know how to market yourself.
And what about the rest of the world?
I cannot answer this as i do not have 1st hand info. This will change after our first Euro tour next year.
How do you see the role of the record labels in the music industry in about 10 years?
I see (hopefully) major labels becoming even more obsolete and independant labels thriving with the ability to release original music rather than weekly flavor bands.
What are your opinions on the Industrialized Metal Webzine and Death To Music Productions?
I think you do a great job showing people music they may not otherwise know of. We need more webzines like this.
