Could you provide us
some basic info about your band? (name, country, year of
birth, music style, etc)
GOLDEN AGE is a Russian synthetic metal band. We began
our history in 2005 and walk a long way to release our
debut album "Golden Age" on November 01, 2007 through
Hellcome To Dollywood Records. We believe that it’s a
fantastic mixture of industrial metal rhythm and
cyberdance vibes in the vein of Dope Stars Inc and Oomph.
Our album was highly evaluated by Russian and foreign
media. GOLDEN AGE is also well-known for our
collaboration with a famous Japanese cyber punk Kenji
Siratori. CD “Psychotronic” is rocking the houses in
Holland, USA, Japan and other countries. In January 2008
we started the recording for our second yet untitled
album.
Why did you exactly pick this track to appear on the
compilation?
“Fallen Angel” is the opening track from our debut album
“Golden Age”. It’s very groove and we believe that it
can give a listener the exact feeling of our CD. It’s
definitely one of the best our songs.
How important is and has the internet been for your
band?
Well, we think that modern internet technologies will
dominate in the future over the normal CDs. Downloading
will be the quickest way for the fans all over the world
to get new music immediately. So we try to use all
internet possibilities to promote our music. This F**K
EM ALL COMPILATION is a good idea and we will support it
for sure.
What are the views upon the local music industry in
your native country? And what about the rest of the
world?
Nowadays it is a fantastic growth on the music market in
Russia. We have a great number of live shows each week
and many new arrivals on CD markets each day. Music is
the language that is spoken all over the world and
everybody can understand it. You can make friends in
different countries and keep them updates about your new
CD, shows, news while just sitting home near a computer.
Also the promoters can get in touch with the band pretty
fast via computer in case fans like the music and ask to
bring the band. MySpace is a great site and the guy who
created it is a genius. :)
How do you see the role of the record labels in the
music industry in about 10 years?
We think that in 10 years we can expect more independent
labels than now because it’s better to be number one on
independent labels then number 332 on the major one. :)
What are your opinions on the Industrialized Metal
Webzine?
Industrialized Metal Webzine is a very good up-to-date
online resource and we would like to say thanx to all
Industrialized Metal Webzine team for a great job they
are doing.
