Could you provide us some basic info about your band? (name, country, year of birth, music style, etc)
Zardonic is my current Drum & Bass project. Most of the time, the project has a rock / metal edge, sometimes it doesn't, however, in this case it does. My name is Federico Agreda, I was born on October 22nd, 1985, and I live in Venezuela.

Why did you exactly pick this track to appear on the compilation?

Because 'Chaotic Serenity' is something near to the metal / d&b tracks of the project, yet very rare and not exactly what I play, so let's say I decided to give out this 'rarity' exclusively for this compilation.

How important is and has the internet been for your band?

Important?? If it wasn't for internet I wouldn't even probably have my music heard out there! It's the MAIN tool that has helped me distribute my sounds all over the world!

What are the views upon the local music industry in your native country?

It's pretty odd to be honest. There's a lot of musicians of any style, and there's a lot of crowds and scenes, and yet the media is so damn limited when it comes to promote any heavy band. It really sucks. However, I can say one can rely on a very loyal crowd, shame that the current economics are affecting the scene so much.

And what about the rest of the world?

I can't say much about it since I've not been there, but from what I've seen, I can definitely realize that there's a greater market for this style out there. Weird enough, european metal bands always leave our countries amazed by the euphoria and the amount of people in their gigs. Like I said it's pretty odd.

How do you see the role of the record labels in the music industry in about 10 years?

Worthless. The internet literally destroyed the intellectual property of music, videos, and such. You can't really control that. No matter how many campaigns you do to make people understand that downloading music or videos is bad. If it's easy for him, they will download it, and that's just absolutely logical and understandable. It's like a hungry homeless kid went to a supermarket and took all the food he wanted to, for free, and everyone around were just doing the same and smiling at him. Then weeks later the cops reach him saying that he has 24 hours to vomit what he just ate. WTF? You just can't against that. It's easy, and people got used to it. If they control downloads in the future even harder, listeners without money will find their way to free music. And you CAN'T forbid people from downloading music that is meant to be distributed for free.

What are your opinions on the Industrialized Metal Webzine and www.deathtomusic.com ?

Honestly it's a great idea and it's helping a lot of bands out there. I am really pleased with these projects and looking forward to see what will happen in the future. I hope the media will help tho, because internet, regardless of it's major influence in the world, is not the first thing. This needs to go beyond the screen of a computer. But so far, so good.

Do you have some final words to add?

Yes. A big thanks to you and to the followers of this genre, and anyone interested in these projects. We still have a long life to live in fucking distortion so stay tuned!!
