Could you provide us some basic info about your band?
Our band name is ZS Concept. D G was born in Brazil, emigrated from Holland to America. S M is from America and has lived in Nigeria and Thailand. Our music style covers everything from Classical to Metal from Ambient to Industrial.
Why did you exactly pick this track to appear on the compilation?
We chose the song (Tell the Truth), because it gives the listener a good sample of our sounds. Also, Gerardo liked the song, so we remixed this one especially for this cd.
How important is and has the internet been for your band?
The internet is very important to us, since it is a medium that can reach many more people than just by press, radio and performance.
What are the views upon the local music industry in your native country?
The music industry in America seems somewhat less open minded than in other countries. Yet, on the other side, there are smaller labels that cater to bands that do offer alternative sounds.
And what about the rest of the world?
The local music industry overseas seems more accepting than in America.
How do you see the role of the record labels in the music industry in about 10 years?
Record labels will always have significant impact over an artist's music. Over time, more artists will be taking control of their own music in the future.
