Interlock started life in 1997, laying down what were to be the roots of their own individual sound. That crossing of genres and bridging of musical styles intensified and grew over the years as Hal Sinden(vocals), Emmeline May (vocals), Syan (bass) and John Tyrell (guitars, programming) released 'Death by Design' on the Armalyte Industries label. To capitalise on the release of the CD, the band embarked on a Total Rock Radio sponsored UK tour with album-mates Needleye, and later featured in the "Sex, Dyes and Bondage Tape" documentary aired on ITV in 2003. After being joined by drummer Matt Platts, former guitarist in Nightnurse, at the start of 2003, Interlock immediately set about writing new tracks. With a mature and stable lineup at last, and having being joined by a second guitarist, Chris Static, Interlock have released their debut full length album, crisis//reinvention on their new home of Anticulture Records and tour extensively across Europe.
