My name is Alessandro Volpi and I was born on January 10, 1982 in Morbegno (SO). I have started playing with my first band when I was 13. I used to play guitar, to sing, to scream in a small punk-rock band, in the neighbourhood. Few years later I joined an older band and some other groups (I used to play drums). But that experience didn't last long. Some time later everything was over. At this point of my life, I realized that playing was extremely necessary for me to survive … I felt a bit disorientated in my life. I didn't want to play again with superficial guys, that used to play only in their spare time. But, in the same time, I didn't want to play alone. My musical roots made me always hate keyboards (even those who used to play them: I'm joking, of course!) … But then just unconsciously I bought myself a 4 tracks tape recorder and I started recording using guitars … and as I had no battery I decided to buy a drum machine. In that period, FRAGILE of Nine Inch Nails came out and for me it was a flash and everytime I used to listen to it I used to discover new instruments and new emotions. Let's say that from that time onwards I have started seeing my "way" to music. I have started to write my first tracks with diligence, I have started to use the pc to record; all this facing 1000 difficulties ( I would like to clarify that I faced difficulties in recording and not making music). I have never lost my punk roots, in the sense that I can play whatever using real instruments! I do not use virtual instruments nor any sequencer in the pc. In the meantime this passion became a project (even a graphic project with the help of Cesare Pedroncelli). This project took the name of INTO THE HOLE.
