Since the Industrialized Metal Webzine is growing a lot lately, we decided that the time is right to bring in some more people. Therefore, we’d like to add to our team a new

REVIEWER

What do we expect:
• the same passion for industrial metal and music in general as we have.
• some knowledge of the industrial metal scene. From past releases to new bands that apply – on which you should judge if they fit the industrial metal genre or not.
• initiatives to find and bring new bands to the page to review, and if possible to interview.
• the reviewer must be able to write in a profound and good English.
• a certain depth within the reviews (not just “this album is great blablabla”) and, if possible, track by track reviews.

What don’t we expect:
• you to follow deadlines or whatsoever. Where other zines expect several reviews a month, we are, despite everything, still mostly DIY based. We just ask you to write reviews frequently, and expect that you understand that if a band sends out a release, they hope to see a review as soon as possible.
• interviews. If you want to interview bands next to reviewing them, we would be glad, but it isn’t our current priority.
• groupie behaviour. It’s ok of course to stay in contact with bands and to become friends, but nobody is waiting for stalking and pathetic groupies.

What do we offer:
• free releases on both CD and MP3 (depends on the situation) to review, which helps you to stay up to date within the scene.
• friendships with both newly discovered bands as well with the other Industrialized Metal Webzine team members; to keep it short – with people that share the same passion as you do.
• free interpretation and total freedom of expression. The only “guidelines” we have are already mentioned in the ‘What do we expect’ chapter.

Extra / important:
Next to a webzine for music, we’re also proud on certain statements in life all the current team members are sharing. Therefore, we insists that future teammembers should fit in these categories as well. If you apply, you must:
• be a vegetarian or a vegan. If you just support animal rights while you still eat meat, bad luck. This is a very important issue for us (we recently published an animal rights special even!), and we realize that some might find this extreme, but we won’t make any exceptions. For some extra explanation on this issue, check the blog entry on our MySpace profile.
• in not a single tiny way be in support of fascism. We do not tolerate any form of it to appear on our website, and we expect (future) team members to think the same way as us.

How to apply for this job:
Simply send us a message at: industrializedmetal@gmail.com. This message should include:
• a short introduction of you (just the usual – name, age, location, food diet, ...).
• a motivation why you should be hired as new reviewer on our page.
• a test review. We ask you to write a review on an industrial metal release (if possible, one that hasn’t been reviewed on our webzine yet) so we can judge your writing, because after all – this is still the most important thing for a reviewer ;-)
