More Machine Than Man is the cybergoth, electrofetish, and industrial multimedia project for the new millennium. This prolific collaboration works in the media of digital music, art film, print/web art, animation, and event promotion. MMTM has successfully established multimedia performances, with live music and performance art, as part of the goth/fetish/industrial club scene in North America. More Machine’s music is dynamic, guitar driven industrial dance defined by undeniable hooks and pop sensibility. All of MMTM’s songs are dark celebrations of B&D relationships, sci-fi imagery, the fetish scene, pervy sensuality, and post-alternative rage. These songs are strongly reminiscent of electro-goth-industrial mainstays like KMFDM [mdfmk and Slick Idiot], early Ministry, Pitchshifter, Girls Under Glass, Meg Lee Chin, Lords of Acid, Rob Zombie, Bjork, NIN, Chemlab, and Garbage. MMTM has created a vast amount of original art film and animation. They design and build their own sets, form their own concepts and scripts, and fabricate costumes. MMTM shoots, lights, and edits their own footage. Tech is the man behind the camera on the set, and Tasha is the woman behind the editor in the studio and on the stage. They have created beautiful representations of the gothic and fetish aesthetic, and accurate reflections of the dark lifestyle. All of the models are unpaid and natural, often letting MMTM document their actual experiences in the goth/fetish scene. All of this creativity coalesces into the More Machine Than Man live performances. MMTM combines their audio and visuals into a kinetic multimedia assault on a culture already experiencing the sensory overload the art reflects. MMTM also often involves performance artists and body modificationists with their own hi-tech light show to make the performance even more provocative. More Machine performs regularly at goth/fetish nights. There is an updated list of past and upcoming MMTM live performances at www.mmtm.net. The members of More Machine Than Man have also produced an extensive portfolio of graphics and digitally manipulated photography. They strive to raise the work of flyers, posters and promotional design to an art form. All of MMTM’s print and web design, cover art and design, photography and html is created by the group. MMTM has a great deal of their art available in a free art gallery at www.mmtm.net.
