Attn: as well the Industrialized Metal Webzine crew is keen on their holidays ! Therefore, we'll be away the whole month of July, so if you write us be sure to remember that it might take a while before we answer you ! As well, please expect no new updates before August !

04 - 05 - 2009: Two new interviews + last reminder for the Volkmar mini-tour

So - a rather small update, but certainly not less interesting. Put down your pizza slices for a moment to check out two brand new interviews with two bands hailing from Italy. Newcomers and/or movie freaks Dark Door opened their book to give us some inside information on various chapters related to this band and their way of promoting and playing music, while both Victor Love (Dope Stars Inc.) and Noras Blake (Edenyzed, Spineflesh) were more than happy to explain everything about their brand new collaboration named Epochate. Two interesting interviews for your enjoyment !

As well - I'd like to send out a last reminder about the Volkmar and 3rd Machine mini-tour that's coming up next weekend - don't forget to visit us ;-)

May 08 - Rockclub The Cave, Amsterdam (22h00 - €5)

Furthermore, the Dutch mini-mini-mini-tour of Australia's Volkmar is approaching fast !

Volkmar, hailing from Australia, is finding its way back to The Netherlands! After a successfully exclusive European and therefore as well Dutch performance in De Bastille in 2007, things went fast with this band. They signed major labeldeals with Modern Invasion Music (Australia) and Danse Macabre (Europe and the rest of the world - Das Ich bandmembers' label) and got booked on the prestigious Wave Gothik Treffen festival in Germany. But - Volkmar wouldn't be Volkmar if they didn't want to share their success with the Dutch people they fell in love with during their preverious gig. Please find the dates here ;

May 08 - Rockclub The Cave, Amsterdam (22h00 - €5)
May 09 - De Kade (Kleine Zaal), Zaandam (21h30 - free entrance)

Support act on this mini-tour will be Dutch formation 3rd Machine. This band combines heavy passages influenced by Fear Factory and Samael with haunting melodies and a lot of power and diversity. Volkmar itself plays an accessable mix of metal, industrial, gothic and wave - with tight riffing and old school vocal lines. During both dates you'll be able to find our Seven Times More Scary distro, for excellent underground choice in industrial metal.

Find the review of Volkmar's "Blessed Sins" album over here.
Find the review of 3rd Machine's "Urban Madness" promo over here.

Hope to see all of you over there !

25 - 02 - 2009: Anti-Racism special ONLINE !

We firstly announced it for March, but since it was complete already, why not release it right away... right?

After the animal rights special, which brought us next to some hatemail as well quite a bunch of compliments, we felt it was time for a brand new special. And what better special could we think of than an anti-racism one?!

During our five years of work with the Industrialized Metal Webzine, we discovered and recieved requests from many different and diverse industrial metal bands. From political cyberpunk acts to humorous avantgardists and from straight forward old school bands to modern experimental dance metal formations – coming from every little corner of this big globe. We never witnessed any bands with a right winged ideology until halfway 2008. One request arrived and got denied, followed by two more. As well, an NSBM band with industrial influences came our way. We know and we strongly realize that these fortunately are some very small exceptions within the scene, but at the same time we think it simply cannot be tolerated.

The full Industrialized Metal Webzine crew, as well including our past members, have always been and will always be strongly speaking out against racism, as well the large majority of the bands within the scene. Therefore, it wasn’t a difficult quest to find bands willing to participate for this special.

To be found on this special: a total of 15 band interviews (plus interviews with the 2 Industrialized Metal Webzine staff members) shouting out against racism with wellgiven arguments - and covering a large percentage of the globe! As well, we collected a bunch of useful links for you to check out, for some further reading and exploring.

Check the anti racism special in the "MEDIA" section, or just click here.

Next week you can expect a massive page update with new reviews (Homemade Abortion Kit, Neon Synthesis, Epochate, Richard Christ and many more), as well F**k Em All - Volume 4 !

12 - 02 - 2009: Two more interviews available !

Yes, it clearly seems like an interview rain this month so far. After the three interviews posted four days ago, we got two more right here. Janne of the Finnish industrial formation Black Light Discipline explains all about their killer debut album 'Empire' (top score review earlier on this page!), while Virtigo front man Shaitan does the very same on their latest release 'Rituals of Broken Flesh'. Enjoy!

Next to this, the time has come to announce the return of Australian's leading industrial gothic metal formation Volkmar to the Dutch stages. After a successful show in 2007, the band is constructing gigs around their 2009 Wave Gothik Treffen performance, and therefore they'll be doing two shows in The Netherlands together with Dutch talents 3rd Machine. The dates are ;
May 8th (Friday) - Rockclub The Cave, Amsterdam
May 9th (Saturday) - De Kade (Kleine Zaal), Zaandam

Don't miss it for any reason, and stay tuned for more gigs, because since we didn't do anything during 2008, we've got some noise left to throw at you this year!

06 - 01 - 2009: Happy belated new year ! Two first 2009 releases reviewed...

Yes, we know we're late, but we still want to wish all the readers a happy belated 2009. None of us lost any fingers, toes, eyebrows or braincells (although that one hasn't been proven yet!) so we'll be able to present you some very excellent reviews within the new year as well. To prove this once again, we'd like to present you two excellent 2009 releases, already reviewed on our page:
Dol Theeta "The Universe Expands" - what a way to kick off the new year with a new composition of Thanasis Lightbridge and his Electronic Art Metal label. First Dol Theeta full-lenght, including 'Goddess' (preveriously on the 'Goddess' EP).
Techny-Call X "Evolution" - long awaited debut album after their impressive 'Start The Process' demo three years ago. Album includes new versions of all the demo tracks, as well a new version of 'Disconnected', which you might have heard on F**k Em All - Volume 2!

As well, we have got some exciting new gigs coming up. German industrial rockers Golem 101 will hit the stages together with Haeckeflosse (full-speed industrial metal) and Deathgression (EBM/electro, formely known as Transgressor) the last Thursday and Friday of January. Go see the flyers in the "visuals" section! This will also include DJ sets by Industrialized Metal Webzine founder Gerardo.

24 - 12 - 2008: Merry Christmas ! Yearlists !

To kick off right away: on behalf of the whole Industrialized Metal Webzine Crew we'd like to wish all of you a merry Christmas (or like most Americans keep on wishing us: Happy holidays). Not only we present you the full album list, as well a top 10 of Gerardo and Arinne's favorite industrial metal tracks of this year, and a top 5 of new bands to definitely keep an eye on in the future. 28 - 11 - 2008: New interviews + site news and updates

Again - we pasted two more freshly licked interviews into our webzine for your enjoyment. History of Guns from the U.K. took the time to answer our questions about their latest album 'Acedia', and Chrisallys all the way from Argentina offered us an exclusive view into their band, upcoming album and the Argentine scene. Check them out both!

As well, we made some more progression with the band profiles. Next to the preveriously mentioned sections (A-G, J, Q, U, X and Y) that were fixed already, we've now got the sections H, I and S all fine and working. As well, we started planning an anti-racism special for next year, which looks like it's going to kick some asses. Stay tuned!

Do you dare to listen to the black gothic darkness provided by Romanian Attractor and the French Tenebrarum Infanteus? Or would you like some more doomy influenced stuff such as Backdoor Syndicate (all the way from Moldova!), or American duo ZS Concept? Also from the States, we have some very interesting submissions by vegan solo project FluiD (Godflesh worship!) and the more accessable Cynergy 67. You want it more extreme? We bring you a crazy cyber metal track of Swedish A.N.T.I. and a hardcore metal vs. drum'n'bass track by The Bombs of Enduring Freedom! And once again, it comes with free killer artwork that you can print to complete your handmade physical CD!

On a side note - we'll be updating the page next week again with new reviews (Glaukom Synod, Techny-Call X, Visioni Gotiche and Miksha) and possibly a new interview as well - so keep an eye on the page. The second DEADCELL studio album 'STATE OF FEAR' will be released by the Swiss label Urgence Disk Records on APRIL 30th 2008. Urgence Disk Records is home of BAK XIII, Dolls of Pain and many more.

Marcus Bodine states that : "The new album contains a heavy mix of old-skool Industrial/Metal, progressive dark electro and soundtrack/classical influences. Definitely a record of extremes. We did some try-out shows with the new songs, and the response was really good. The sound, production & composition of this album are really mature without losing the 'underground feel'. The translation of the songs to a live situation is what makes this album really special. Every song tells its own story, which made it possible for us to take the music, dance & visuals to a whole new level."

Before the official release, a number of previews will be published at www.myspace.com/deadcellband.

22 - 02 - 2008: "F**k 'Em All" NOW avaible!

After years of working with the Industrialized Metal Webzine, one thing clearly became clear: there are many, many great bands out there, but hardly anyone of them gets the chance to get their music heard on a proper way. Labels hardly pay attention to give them a chance, and if they do they base their contracts on money-making terms for the industry. Because it is our opinion that bands don't need money-loving record labels these days to get their music heard (how we love the internet!) we teamed up with our friends for Death To Music Productions to end up in the release of industrial metal compilations. All of them are to be downloaded for free on DTM's page, and all the bands are interviewed on the Industrialized Metal Webzine. Check out the MEDIA section to read the interviews and download the compilation for free!
