Nomads Under Surveillance was born during the rainy days of spring of 2009, when long-time friends 'The ExTra' and 'DJ Kanza' decided to form a collaboration fusing the different influences and likings that were hidden in both the bandmembers' heads and hearts. DJ Kanza comes to Nomads Under Surveillance with a wide variety of influences, moving from metal to electro to anything that comes with a wicked spastic beat. Played in various metal bands before, and these days spending some of his free time on remixes, DJ sets and reviewing music, he brings in a certain noticeable degree of experience. The ExTra is the one who takes care of the metal edge in the music. Already played years and years of various kinds of metal in past projects for years, he brings in cutting edge and straight to the point riffing. The result is, although it begs for a description, pretty much undefinable. Guiding the listeners to nearly every corner of both the metal and the drum'n'bass genres, the outcome strongly varies. Sometimes it's a mix of rock and dubstep, sometimes it's intelligent breakbeat with subtile riffing and sometimes it's hard drum'n'bass with brutal metal riffing - but most of all, it's something that you would probably dig. NOMADS UNDER SURVEILLANCE is explosive, political and accessable - with a certain degree of sillyness. Nomads Under Surveillance is based in various cities near Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
