One of the first bands who got me in touch with the new
wave of industrial metal (separated from the old style
done by bands like Ministry and Nine Inch Nails) is
Italian band Dope Stars Inc. Their 10.000 Watts Of
Artificial Pleasures is their first release upon mankind.
Six tracks filled with aggression, sorrow, catchy
danceable melodies and lots of variation. The opening
title track shows some great aggression (song reminds me
in a far way to Planet Of The Apes of The Kovenant),
while the last track (Generation Plastic) sounds like
some kind of ballade. The voice sounds kinda poppy, but
it really is one with the music. Also an element which
gets back in almost every song is the Cyber Punk
experiments. These guys are definitely talented and I am
sure we will hear more of them in the future!
