Artist: ZORG
Album: Artificial
Year: 2001
Well what do you know, another industrial metal band
from Estonia to review. Zorg, based in Tallin, is formed
in 1999 and includes (ex-)members of Creature and B.D.Ö.
Artificial is their debut album, released in 2001.
An industrial band combining female vocals and male
distortion vocals, accompanied by powerful guitars and
drums. This is not a new thing at all in the industrial
world? No, not really. But keep on reading, you'll be
surprised. Zorg is not a rip off of any band, and they
actually manage to bring something new. Try to listen to
songs like "Artificial" and "Master Of The Rage" without
getting off your seat. Try to listen to songs like "Void
Of Silence" and "Serial" without the urge to transform
in a bat and to fly away. Artificial guides you into a
modern industrial world. Countries of cold dark
flavoured industrial gothic are on the scedule, but you
also be brought in countries of powerful industrial
death metal. Best song of the record should be "Alone"
if you ask me, a country with an excellent multicultural
mix of the ones I described before. Keeping in mind that
this is just the debut album, I must say that this band
has really huge potention. Oh, you don't believe me? Get
in a coma for 10 years, and after I wake you up you'll
see! I will use those years in a decent way, listening
to Artificial again!
