M.A.C. of Mad is a cybergrind/death band from Czech
Republic, including (ex-)members of Ahumado Granujo and
Alienation Mental. You have never heard of those bands?
Well, I have, and I can assure you that its topclass
grind, so I expected a lot of this band. Saw them some
time ago on the Obscene Extreme festival, where they
managed to surprise me already with some catchy tunes
now and then, but I was sure that it would be more
brutal and blasting on CD. A review.
This CD can be splitted in two categories. On one side:
the death metal touch and on the other side: the
grindcore touch. The death metal influenced tracks are
more slow and downtuned, while the grindcore tracks are
blasting like Hell. ‘Low Memory’ is one of those
blasting tracks, also ‘Techno’ and ‘Judge’. The more
death metal sounding tracks are for example ‘I’ll Be
Gone’ and ‘I’m Pzyco’. Not much more to say about this
really, you just have to find things out yourself. This
CD is excellent for building a crazy party, and will
probably affect fans of every music genre that’s
extreme. Play loud or die!
