Artist: BLACK LIGHT DISCIPLINE
Album: Agressor (Single)
Year: 2010

From inbetween the cold lakes of Finland comes Black Light Discipline. This Finnish band caught my attention with their smashing debut album 'Empire', which is an album that still gets many plays on my MP3 player, mixing wave with industrial metal in a powerful and more than decent way. Recently they've released a two-track single called 'Agressor'.

The release opens with the title track. It offers you a gentle mix of wave, electro and industrial metal, coming with a bashing rhytm and excellent keylines and sampling. The vocal lines are recogniseable and sometimes even catchy, and the powerful riffing is welladded. The second track of this release is a Placebo cover. Black Light Discipline's version of 'The Bitter End' is a danceable, wave influenced industrial metal track with straight to the point riffing and drumming and sounds - like every good cover in my opinion - like a Black Light Discipline track in stead of like a cover song. Well done!

I sincerely hope this is a teaser for the upcoming album for two reasons: one is because of the quality of this single, and two: I can't wait for another Black Light Discipline full-lenght.
