Artist: KILLING
MIRANDA
Album: Consummate
Year: 2004
Another cd which I found in my mailbox was this one. I
didnt knew the band at all, so I just put the cd in the
cd player and let it surprise me. What I found was some
kind of mix between Plan E and (Old) Christian Death.
Although the music sounds pretty simple on this cd (cool
artwork by the way), it doesnt sound like an uncomplex
band. From the first until the last second, powerful
drums are accompanied by vocals which end in sorrow. I
hear you say, I heard this before. Well, in that case I
shall dissapoint you. Killing Miranda is one of those
bands who can create an own style without betraying its
genre. And this album is certainly of almost the same
quality as Pretty Hate Machine for example. Yes, I think
this can grow into a classic. Funny thing: track two did
remind me to HIM, but with a little industrial. Classic?
Why not?!
