ZNO... This is a dark ambient / industrial act hailing
from France, which seems very influenced by early
Iszoloscope and Megaptera. It is not really clear what
the title is of this new (released in 2006) EP, but
EP_00 seems to come the closest according to the website.
The first song is called 3TECh, and it is very dark
ambient likely with drum and bass influences. Kind like
early Iszoloscope albums which amazed me. I could even
hear some Japanese styled Hotaka drums at the end of the
song that surprised me the most. The second song on the
album is called ‘Redfill’. This one is a more dark
ambient styled song which reminds me on my own project
Raudivian Device. You can hear some mid tempo drums with
claps dark soundscapes very suitable when you are
travelling. The third song on this EP is called ‘Evul
The True Experiment RMX’, which combines different
soundscapes, drums and harsh reality into one single
song which I like a lot. The fourth song is called
‘(Trill)’ which combines very ambient sounds with harsh
drum work and machinery sounds. The last song on this ep
is called ‘Path’, which sounds familiar to the other
songs on the album. In the end, this EP was a very
positive surprise for me, so you will not be surprised
by my rating.
