Artist: LUCKY
STRIKER 201
Album: Lucky Striker 201
Year: 2005
Another young band in the scene is Lucky Striker 201.
This French trio writes experimental music that can be
related to any kind of industrial metal. With their
motto “Music is art – Art is not for sale” they decided
to place their debut album online for download (I can
hear the guys of Unk! say now ‘hmm where have we heard
this before’), so people who are interested in it after
this review can download it from their official site (http://www.ls201.com)
or their MySpace profile (http://www.myspace.com/ls201).
Well, first of all, this will be a short review. Because
there are not many things to tell about this album. All
the songs are easy listening, decently build, but
nothing special. Roughly, this band can be described as
a mix between Deathstars and old Samael, but with
stronger vocals. I am sure that about 90% of the
industrial metal fans will not mind to listen to this,
but will not become a fan after hearing this. I think
fans of more theatrical bands like The Vision Bleak,
Wormfood and even Notre Dame might appreciate this too.
Curious? Don’t forget to download this stuff.
