Yes, they still exists - band this underground that they still release music on tape and/or vinyl, as well in the industrial metal scene. UK's electro noise punk duo Leech Woman already added their 'The Burning of Animals' 12" to their discography last year, this year they throw in another release on vinyl, simply named "NoName". As well, this vinyl is blessed with two songs on the A-side and two on the B-side, including mostly remixes.
Side A kicks off with the original mix of 'No Name'. It's a chaotic noisy piece, including distorted sampling and riffing, as well desperately screaming vocal lines and little ambient intermezzo's. Overall the song is an atmospheric mix of industrial, (industrial) punk, noise, ambient and a little electro. The second track on this A-side is the remix done by Zombieflesheater. It was turned into a crazy and super noisy piece, with no remorse for rhytm or melody at all. Basically the only thing that was still recogniseable from the original track were the electronic samples that are slightly hidden behind the walls of noise. Flipping over to the B-side, we start with Machinochrist's remix. It's a blending of distorted beats and drum'n'bass programming, with a total chaotic attitude. The slightly added vocal lines (or just outbursts of screams in this case) and ambient approaches are in full support of that attitude as well. The so-called 'Indubstrial Mix' by Quyente marks the end of this vinyl record. The fact that it's quite noisy probably doesn't take you by surprise anymore. It's a heavy delayed track, with musical works that think your vinyl player skips a little from time to time while it doesn't.
This 12" is clearly not something for the weaker soul. Leech Woman on itself doesn't bring you the typical electro punk already, the remixers managed to turn it into utter chaos. Still, I think the ones old school enough to still own a vinyl player should seriously consider grabbing this one... if you dare of course.
