Artist: NUCLEAR FUSION-G
Album: Demo EP
Year: 2007

It's with great pleassure that I'd like to present to you an actual industrial metal band from China. Nuclear Fusion-G was born in 2003 and consists of five members. The biography on their MySpace exists out of nothing but slightly boring facts (including the mentioning of the interview we did back in 2006 when we were still on the .tk domain!), and tells us that they describe their music as "high-tech new electro industrial". This five track demo is the debut of this band.

'Space Exploration' is a catchy track bringing elements of electro metal and wave together in an accessible form. It consists of a steady song structure, straight forward riffing, powerful drumming and recogniseable vocal lines. 'Come Back To The Future' comes with excellent industrial metal riffing, sci-fi alike sampling and bashing midtempo drumming. The diverse (brutal - clean) vocal lines give the song a certain amount of accessibility and variation that's essential. 'Origin' comes with a darkwave attitude, bringing in excellent sampling and various outbursting metal passages. Overall the song has a simple structure which is damn effective. 'Dicryon Project' is a short and straight to the point cyber metal opus delivering powerful riffing, even more powerful midtempo drumming and wellfitting vocal lines. It's the most brutal track on the demo EP. The release ends with 'Limitation'. It's a gentle track moving from wave passages to industrial metal passages, with a wrap of electro.

With this demo this Chinese group shows it has a lot of potential. I think with a better production and a kickass full-lenght it won't take too long before the world will get to know them. For fans of Fear Factory, The Kovenant, Samael, Rob Zombie and everything that would fit in the homemade category "experimental cyber metal." Keep an eye on them.
