The industrial solo project of the infamous Peter
Tägtgren (Hypocrisy and many more) is called Pain. The
self-titled debut album was released in 1997.
First thing that caught me was the fact that Peter sings,
while I was used to his grunts. Although, his clean
vocals are excellent and fit to the music better than
the grunts if you ask me. About the music: it is cold
and it has got a lot of variation. There are fast songs,
slow songs and mid-tempo songs: all in one. Cool thing:
all songs are very catchy. Also, Pain is one of the most
danceable bands in its genre, which gives them an own
style. What else is more to say about this record?
