Artist: IPERYT
Album: Particular Hatred
Year: 2005
Iperyt is a brand new and exciting act in the Polish
industrial metal scene. According to the biography I
found on the World Wide Web, this four-track EP is the
debut release of this band. We should be expecting "four
massive and powerful tracks, the band proved that raw
black metal, sick melodies and ultra-fast terrorcore
bassdrums could be united under one evil flag
introducing next step in hellish and brutal, yet still
considered and intelligent sound." Quite big words for a
new band and a four track EP, we'll see if they're based
on facts right now...
'The Black Emperor' is the first track of the album. It
opens with militairy sounds, to be followed by blasting
brutality. It contains diverse drumparts (from easy
going to more brutal and extreme), black metal vocals,
war sampling and strong guitarriffs that sound a bit
thrash influenced here and there. 'A.V.M.D.' opens with
another sample (this time religious influenced), and
continues the brutal path afterwards. The programming
parts are bashing like Hell, and the threatning guitars
fit the track excellent. Next up comes the title track
of this EP. It has the best and most diverse programming
works of the EP; it goes from marching to bashing and to
industrial black metal parts. The guitarwork is as
wicked as usual, and the vocal lines all bring it
together very well. 'Experimentum Crusis' opens with
hardstyle beats, to be followed by an excellent
industrial metal track. Since this one has a more
experimental song structure, it might turn out less
brutal, but that isn't always a bad thing.
"Four massive and powerful tracks, the band proved that
raw black metal, sick melodies and ultra-fast terrorcore
bassdrums could be united under one evil flag
introducing next step in hellish and brutal, yet still
considered and intelligent sound." I must be honest, not
a single word of it has been made up. This Polish
machine is unstoppable, and to be honest I donīt even
want to stop it. Insane, and not for the weaker souls.
