Artist: LOST REALITY
Album: Preview New Album (promo)
Year: 2005

It is always nice to recieve some e-mail. And it is even nicer, when a new band asks you to review their stuff. Lost Reality is a band from Italy, and says to be playing dark rock. Their album "Invisibility" is going to be released, but first there is this "new album preview" what can be considered as their promo.

This preview starts with the song 'Perfect Passion'. Some rhytmic drum parts and Marilyn Manson likely vocals are the first things I noticed. The chorus is way different: old school gothic rock in vein of Christian Death and Killing Miranda. This already shows that this band is not a copycat of any band. Lost Reality dares to mix different elements into one, as well in track two called "If This Is Heaven". This track starts way different, if I didnt knew better I would call this a song of A.N.A.E.L. The chorus is an example of pure sorrow. Excellent song, and a pretty industrial outro. "White Wall" might be the best song of this album preview. The vocals are almost whispering through the cold music, and there are some excellent guitar parts hidden in this song. "These Days" starts pretty different and powerful. The sampling is pretty futuristic here and there, and the Marilyn Manson likely vocals appear here and there again. Powerful outro on this one! "Nothing I Am" already is the last track of this preview. Atmospheric sampling in the beginning, followed by a dark, slow song. Here and there I recognise some Plan E, and the vocals are used on a pretty poppy way in this song. But in the end, this preview seems like a promising one for the album to come. For fans of bands that I mentioned before a good alternative if you feel like discovering something new.
