I was having a look on a thread on the Kovenant forum.
The thread was meant for people to promote their band.
Neon:Synthesis was promoted over there by Seth. I was
curious and I took a look. An action I never shall
regret!
Their first promo, simply called Promo004, is the work I
first had a listen to. This three track promo is the
first work of this Italian band. They play some kind of
industrial metal with gothic influences. The first track
is called Rays Of Mind. This song shows some good
industrial metal, in vein of new Kovenant, a little of
Diva Destruction and more. This song is not that
powerful (although from time to time it is, specially at
the end), but the atmosphere and the industrial elements
make this song to one of the best new songs I’ve heard
lately. The chorus is beautiful. After this one,
Solitude and Fear follows. Evil sounding intro, followed
by a song which remembers me to Samael and Malmonde.
This song shows me again the great talent of the
vocalist. Love the samples on this song! Last track is
the powerful song called The Prophet. Many metalheads
will concider this one as the best track on the promo,
but I don’t (mine is Rays Of Mind). The track is great
indeed, it combines powerful industrial with some
technical great vocals and some guitars to make the
picture complete. But it’s not just power in this song..
also an intermezzo with high clean vocals and synths,
followed by some great industrial sounds. So, Kovenant
fans, Deathstars fans, and fans of bands common those,
meet this band you wont regret!
