Artist: VIGILANTE
Album: Promo - 2005
Year: 2005

Vigilante, which means something like 'guard', is a young Chilean band. They combine industrial and metal the way bands like MKIO, Avoidance Of Doubt and Golem 101 do. Their first release was the Promo - 2005, which is used to get the attention from labels to release their debut album 'The Heroes Code'.

The promo starts with the song 'The Other Side'. A cold intro, followed by powerful guitars and blastbeats. Danceable music follows, with a catchy chorus. The keys remind me to the awesome song Prinzip Der Finsternis by Golem 101. I like this song, it has a lot of power and the beat is well danceable. After this one, 'Answers' follows. This track is also very danceable, although this song is a little colder, and I think that this shows another side of this band. Although this song is less catchy than the preverious, I think this song is better... I should even call this the best song of the promo. Love the blastbeats on this song! 'One Good Reason' is another song where this band managed to combine the forces of industrial and metal excellent together. A catchy song again, and when I listen to it I cannot hardly hold myself of dancing. Love the keyboard intermezzo on 2:45 min, and the guitar solo who follows afterwards! Although this promo really surprised me in a positive way, there is one thing of critic. The vocals are good, but there is nothing special with it. Maybe they could sample it a little more for more variation. But when we get back to buisness, I should say that this promo is a really promising one for the future.
