Artist: EWIGKEIT
Album: Radio Ixtlan
Year: 2004
Ewigkeit is the reaction of James Fogarty, who is also
known for his work in The Meads Of Asphodel, to the
death/trash metal bands in the mid ninetees. The result
is some kind of industrial ambient trash metal. Radio
Ixtlan was released after Ewigkeit signed to Earache
Records, in 2004.
First thing that caught my attention was the beautiful
artwork of this album. But when it comes to the music,
Ewigkeit satisfies me as well. Industrial metal with
almost all kinds of vocals which were ever used in
metal. The music is melodic, but the drums make it
powerful as well. Songs like "Powerplant" and "Platonic
Verses" can make my day every time I listen to them
again. And for the people who want to paste a genre on
this: lets call it industrial death/ambient. Ewigkeit is
a really good alternative for fans of Malmonde and
Dagoba.
