Artist: PAIN
Album: Rebirth
Year: 2000
The infamous industrial project of Peter Tägtgren (Hypocrisy,
The Abyss and many more..) is called Pain. Rebirth is
the second full length album. A review:
Pain is one of my first industrial metal 'bands' I've
ever heard, because of a show called 'Wet & Wild' that
used to appear every monday evening on dutch music
television channel TMF. I remember I heard once 'End of
the line' and I was sold immidiately! This great mix
between metal and industrial is very catchy and was
unknown for me at that time. Next (logical) step was the
album. And to be honest, it dissapointed me a little.
There are some real shitty songs on it like 'Delusions'
and the variation isn't that much.. although: there are
also some killer songs on it like 'End of the line', 'On
and on', and 'suicide machine.' It's an album with lots
of differences, so hard to rate for me.
