Artist: RAMMSTEIN
Album: Rosenrot
Year: 2005

Yes, Rammstein strikes back again! Where the latest “Reise Reise” album dissapointed me a little, I was with fresh hope ready to listen to the follow up “Rosenrot”. Will it be back to the old style again? Or will they keep on beeing this? Maybe something totally new different again? A review:

Well, this is better than ‘Reise Reise’ indeed. Tracks like ‘Benzin’ (the new single) and Zerstören are easy listening and pretty catchy, which was really missing on ‘Reise Reise’. But the majority of this album is still in vein of that album. Dark songs, slow drumparts and sensitive vocals are the order of the day on ‘Rosenrot’. If somebody would say like.. ten years ago, that Rammstein would finish like this, everybody would declare him insane. But its true. What is left out of the past is the heavy sound and the awesome vocals, but most of the other aspects are gone. It was pretty refreshing though to hear the song ‘Mann Gegen Mann’, which returns back to the old times a little bit. The ballad that is present on every Rammstein album is a good one again. ‘Rosenrot’ brings you sailing across millions of oceans, thinking about different times. Finally I would like to give a note about the “Te Quiero Puta” song. Please guys, do never experiment like this again.. terrible! My final words: its a good album but I still prefer the old skull Rammstein.
