Artist: THE KOVENANT
Album: S.E.T.I.
Year: 2003
Four years after the release of Animatronic, The
Kovenant released finally the follow-up. And it’s in
another style again: S.E.T.I. (in Search for Extra
Terrestrial Intelligence) is way more industrial than
all records before.
When I put this album in my cd player and pressed the
play button, I was really surprised. The intro of
Cybertrash was pretty worse, and I love this band so
much! Well, after the Cybertrash song (the worst song on
this record IMO) the sun started to shine again. Some
great industrial metal mixed with clean vocals (yep, Lex
sings) and good written lyrics. And like on all albums
of this band: it has lots of variation. Songs like Star
by Star and Keepers of the Garden are soooo beautiful,
while songs like Acid Theatre and Hollow Earth sometimes
even sound danceable. At the end of this album there is
a song called The Memory Remains, originally preformed
by Metallica.
