Artist: MORTIIS
Album: The Grudge
Year: 2004
MortIIs, known for his work in MortIIs and early Emperor,
has finally released a new work. The Grudge is the given
name to it, and after the tour I finally got a copy of
it.
The album cover looks pretty boring to me, but it is all
about the music. I placed the album in my cd player and
listened to the record. Some pretty chaotic industrial
dark wave tracks are included: track one (Broken Skin)
is great in it's horrible chaotic manufacturing. The
whole album is pretty chaotic, though it is very
atmospheric. Don't expect some songs like Smell The
Witch (my all time favourite) on it, because all the
songs are more harsh. This album is good, for sure, but
compared to the live shows there is some power missing.
I think that this album should be appreciated by gothic
people and metalheads, which is pretty special.
