Artist: VON SIRIUS
Album: The Mystical Doktryn Of Spiritual Accomplishment
Year: 2005

God bless the internet! The internet opens doors to bands who hardly know themselves that they are existing. Millions of those bands are to be found on the web, but I could find nothing about Von Sirius but some (mostly bad) reviews. According to the track list they are from France, and their label describes them as "esoteric death/goth metal filled with electro parts".

A vague band, a vague label... this must be some vague music I hear you think? Well, pretty much. This album brings you 42 minutes of some easy listening mix between Depeche Mode and Samael. And I must say, this band has impressed me. The drumcomputer is used in an excellent way, and the samples are even a bit catchy from time to time. The clean vocals are good, but the grunts are missing some depth if you ask me. Although, I think this band can be a really positive surprise for fans of Samael, NeonSynthesis and A.N.A.E.L. and even some bands like Tiamat and Type O Negative (if any of those people is able to find this album anywhere). This band has some great potential if you ask me!
