Artist: VIRTUAL CAGE
Album: Elektro Gangstar
Year: 2009

Virtual Cage is a four-piece hailing from Italy. The band got formed in 2007, and started recording their first EP in 2008. The EP, including five songs and two remixes, got released one year later. Meanwhile, the band played on a few important national festivals and planned a promotional tour in 2009 to promote this EP. The EP I'm talking about here is the one that gets reviewed on here - namely 'Elektro Gangstar'.

The first track, "Disorder (The Death Machine)", has a very mechanical start grinding and syths with intense drums and guitars followed up by the growling vocals combine brilliantly. Singing vocals almost near the end play into the tone of the track beautiful to add that touch or airiness to the track. It ends with the combination of all sounds playing together to quietly tone out. The next track, "Bullet Revenge", the electronic sounds lightly play at the beginning only to be jumped started by the loud drum and guitar and vocals that seem to shred there way into the music. The robotic spoken part chimed in at the most perfectly composed time. The music is very well composed, ending out on with the guitars almost calling for stop. Third track, "My Pain", has the synths opening as the tempo quickens the drums slow make their way in followed in by both guitar and vocals in synchronized harmony. The melodic vocals give way to screaming chorus, with more intense guitar. The track is intense but easy to listen to a fun composition, ending out with long whine after vocals. Next track, "The Beautiful People (Marilyn Manson Cover)", this track is very chaotic and interesting cover with more industrial element then the Manson. The fifth track, "Evolution=07=", the composure of music is done with such care the vocals come in with incredible sound to complete this track. Having a small break with synths before having the return and conclusion with the beautiful placement of music and vocals. Next track, "Disorder Human(LTX Remix)", an electronic open with guitars and drums keeping the blend holding as the vocals add flavor, the chorus is wonderful with sang vocals while the entire track has screaming vocals all I can say is wonderful. Last track, “Evolution=X= (DJ Azrath Remix)", the bells added in with the drums is a brilliant new element as it begins with the remixed track. The distorted vocals within the sound and the intensity of track make it very entertaining.

This album has many elements of the same kind that follow together to make a complete sound; this album can be easily listened to. I am impressed with this release. Hurry with more I cannot wait.
