Artist: THE BERZERKER
Album: World Of Lies
Year: 2006
The Berzerker might be the most extreme band in the
industrial AND death metal scene. The mixture of
speedcore, terror and death/grind has brought these
Australian guys lots of bad comments by pure metalheads,
but at the same time lots of excellent responses by more
open minded people out of both the metal and the dance
world. According to this band, none of them are speaking
the truth though. That is why they have released 'World
of Lies'.
For this album, The Berzerker decided to go back to his
roots. When there was no drummer on the self-titled
debut and there was a human drummer on 'Dissimulate',
the drumwork on this record is done with computers back
again. When the band sounded more extremer on 'Dissimulate'
than on the debut, they lost some of that extremity
again on the new record. A shame in my opinion, because
I really loved 'Dissimulate', but I must admit that this
record is a good one again! Other people will call it 'oh,
just ANOTHER Berzerker record', but I can assure you
that if you liked the preverious works you will like
this one as well!
