Artist: RE:AKTOR
Album: Zero Order
Year: 2003
What more has Portugal to offer than sun, beach and an
awesome death metal band called Holocausto Canibal?
Nothing much really. Well, at least, that was what I
thought, before I discovered an industrial act out of
there. Re:Aktor have released their "Zero Order" album
in 2003 on Nuclear Blast.
After I have praised the beautiful artwork on this
record, I placed the cd in the cd player and pressed the
play button. What followed were 11 songs of modern,
experimental cyber metal. Experimental songs in vein of
Dagoba and Malmonde are followed by songs which sound
more like Fear Factory and/or Ewigkeit. Powerful guitar
riffs all over the album, and mixed grunt-clean vocals.
The drum machine is used in a very powerful way all over
the album. Best song of the album has to be 'Impact',
where powerful meets perfection. For fans of the bands
that I have mentioned before!
