Sons of the Rain was founded in 1994, in the most southern point of Netherlands, and has since gone through some rough changes. After the release of the first (self-titled) album a recorddeal was signed with the belgian label 'New Music Avenue'. The band toured many venues throughout the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and France. After changing the line-up several times the band decided, two years ago, to spend time on a different project. ...after the short retreat from SOTR the initial founders of the Sons of the Rain decided it was time to bring life to the industrial/metal that has been. The musical expressions are being continued, although this time with a new line-up (vocals, percussion, drums, samples, bass and guitars). The initial goal is to master the previously released tracks unto perfection for the live shows followed by the combining of the new ideas into material for a forthcoming new (third) album. The music can best be described as pounding grooves, often almost hypnotising rhythms by bass, drums and guitars. This whole is being topped off with industrial, mechanical percussion and samples. The vocals express utter aggressive frustrations and violence.
