After nearly a decade of exploring various music-styles, the units "Sprawl_0001", "Sprawl_0010" and "Sprawl_0011" founded THE SPRAWLCOSM in spring 1999. "THE SPRAWLCOSM unites our creative potentials, it is our foundation, the portal to neutralize common boundaries, it is our source.......the source of SPRAWL". It is quite difficult to describe the sound of SPRAWL. Based on extreme music it also features elements of such different styles as jazz, industrial, oriental or ebm. The outcome of this conglomerate offers both furious and spiritual art. It is, and that's for sure, no easy-listening-music. Early 2000 SPRAWL produced their 3-track promo-cd "V1.0", which was sent to different labels. Afterwards they began working on their first full-length-album. "Cybionic Black Art" consists of 9 tracks, the continuous playing time is 62 minutes. After the release in austria in december 2000 it was scheduled to be released in germany in march 2001, but unfortunately the cooperation between SPRAWL and their german label did not develope as expected. "Our label seemed not interested in a continuous partnership, so we cancelled the deal. We will contact some labels for a release in the near future". A glimpse of each track of "Cybionic Black Art" is available through the sounds-section of this homepage, but the user will also be able to download excerpts tracks of the album and new, previously unreleased material in the sounds-section. "During its evolution THE SPRAWLCOSM became an endless stream of creativity, not only in musical but also visual art, which is realized in close co-operation with painting- and cyberartist Marius. It is our aim to explore and discover new possibilities to unfold ourselves, it is our destiny to dive deeper into that pool!",
