In 1997 Tore Larsen founded "Cornfed", which was to be the early starting point of T E R M I N A L. Tore's love for the dark industrial samples became predominant in his quest to find his own sound. The "Cornfed" era ended in 1999. Tore changed his artist name to T E R M I N A L. His focus changed, making way for a more accessible style featuring more commercially structured songs. Tore kept on being the sole musician and songwriter of T E R M I N A L. In early 2002 Tore teamed up with guitarist Dylan R. Hopkin. Tore felt that he needed additional input to write even better songs, and to leave the guitar playing to someone more capable. Dylan's progressive metal background added yet another flavour to T E R M I N A L 's sound. "Re_mains" [2003] was the first demo featuring the new lineup as a duo. 4 tracks were engineered / mixed / co-produced by Zet [Ram-Zet]. Featuring guest artist Küth [Ram-Zet, The Kovenant] on drums. In mid 2004, T E R M I N A L finally completed the lineup with two new fulltime members. The highly experienced drummer Thomas Knutzen and the young talented bass-player Lars A. Lien. The past months have been spent on rehearsals, writing new songs and preparing a new demo. "Ab_worm" [2005] was recorded / engineered / produced by the band themselves. With additional vocal engineering / mixing / co-production by Pål A. Svennevig. The main focus was to add more "edge", power and heaviness to their songs. As a result of this, T E R M I N A L 's destinct soundscape has moved from industrial hardrock, and more towards hard-hitting, modern industrial metal. The band always strives to incorporate catchy vocal lines, varied musical structure and an intense mood within every song. Appealing to fans of a wide variety of heavy metal and rock. More new songs are ready, and T E R M I N A L are currently preparing the audio & visual design for their live performance. It's important to the band that they deliver a complete experience. T E R M I N A L are working hard to book more live gigs. Fulfilling the wish to bring T E R M I N A L 's music live to the metal scene. T E R M I N A L hope that you like their music and share their enthusiasm. They are looking for a serious record label that believes in the band's potential and are willing to work with them towards recording their debut CD and hopefully more. T E R M I N A L want's to hear from you!
