In 2006 ZUUL FX made a striking entrance into the metal world with " By the Cross " not only in France but also in Europe, where they were enthusiastically received. Their live performances reinforced the massive support of the French media: magazines such as Hard Rock Mag and Rock One established the band as the new leader of the scene, while M6 Music Rock, MCM and MTV Pulse played all their videos. But ZUUL FX have not only been noticed in France: Bruce Dickinson played the album on BBC Radio 1, and key magazines such as Kerrang (UK), Metal Hammer (UK), Rock Hard Germany, Legacy (All), Metal Shock (IT) all praised the quality of their first album. ZUUL FX toured Europe relentlessly to promote " By The Cross ", sharing the stage with the likes of Motörhead, Obituary, Jello Biafra, The Melvins, Fantomas, Napalm Death, Lofofora, Loudblast, Samael, Amon Amarth, Eths, Anorexia Nervosa, Gojira, Anthrax, Sick of It All, My Dying Bride and many others. They also played at prestigious festivals: Fury Fest and Metal Therapy. ZUUL FX were recently rewarded by being featured on the cover of the magazine Hard N Heavy (November 2006), dedicated to the most important French metal bands. For their new album, Live Free Or Die, ZUUL FX filled the guitarist slot left vacant by Blast with Karim, an amazing guitarist who (along with drummer Aurel) is an MAI graduate (a famous music school in Nancy). Their sound is still the same, with experience adding an extra quality to the songwriting. Whereas the basic structure remains powerful modern metal - mixing grooves, machines and precise riffs - the new ZFX sound has moved on from early descriptions as the missing link between Slipknot and Fear Factory. In all its various shades and sounds, Zuul FX now fully confirm their seductive potential. ZUUL FX were named the metal revelation of 2005 with their first album "By The Cross". End of 2006 the leader of the band was featured on the split cover story about the revival of the French metal scene. The band played on the biggest French metal festivals (Fury Fest, Metal Therapy) sharing the stage with bands such as Gojira, Napalm Death, Anthrax, Motörhead... Their videos are broadcasted on M6, MCM, MTV Pulse. Their album has been distributed everywhere in Europe and has attracted much attention, especially in the UK.
